The  Stagefright vulnerability   has been one of the hottest topics of discussion in the security industry since it was announced. In order to provide a detailed insight into the vulnerability and ease of exploitation, zLabs VP of Platform Research and Exploitation, Joshua Drake  ( @jduck )  prepared the video below that demonstrates the attack. The Note 4 never had the fastest Recents Menu, and despite its 3GB of RAM, its app-holding capabilities only got worse on Lollipop. The infamous RAM bug that plagued the S6 is indeed an annoyance on the Note 4’s 5.0.X ROMs. Rumors of an update to fix all of this were confirmed with the  first reports of the 5.1.1 update  for the Russian Note 4, which seemingly improved the Recents Menu and RAM management. But it’ll be a long time before every region and every carrier variant receives this version, and until then, we are left with few ways to fix this. The Galaxy S6  saw its RAM management fixed  with a simple build.prop edit. It turns out that the fix can be ported to the Note 4 as well, practically line-by-line, to achieve a very similar effect plus extra optimization. You can find a guide on how to do it  on this XDA thread , which  took after this Reddit thread . I suggest you read both threads before jumping in, but you will see that applying the fix is rather easy:

Google acquired WordLens a while back, eventually integrating its visual text translation technology into the Translate app. It only supported seven languages at the time, but today's v4.0 update adds a lot more, and Google is showing off the visual translation feature with a nifty Google Translate vs. “La Bamba” video.

Users are reporting that Google has started slashing and burning old accounts in recent days, seemingly with no warning. The first sign something is wrong comes in the form of an alert sent to the user's backup email informing them their Google account has been deleted because of an unresolved terms of service violation. Whatever is going on, it's probably time to backup any unused accounts you have sitting around.

The makers of Truecaller have come up with yet another useful app. Truemessenger is a new SMS app for Android that lets you find out the names of people sending messages even if you don’t have their names saved in your contact list. As with Truedialler, Truemessenger taps into Truecaller’s database and find names and photos of unidentified numbers. On top of that it can also detect spam messages and divert them to a separate folder, so your main inbox remains clean. You can also report numbers, which are added to database and helps other people using the app.

Google continues its Android One expansion, marching over Kashmir from the original Indian launch market and into Pakistan. The new rollout was announced on  Google's Asia-Pacific blog , along with the country's first Android One device,  the QMobile A1 . This phone is more or less identical to the Android One devices already launched in India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Turkey, and the Philippines. It's available today from cell phone retailers all over the country for 11,500 Pakistani Rupees (about $113), but it doesn't look like QMobile has an online shop.

Google, in recognition to the start of the blessed month of Ramadan, has taken a generous initiative to release a new web app for Muslims all over the world. The web app named  Ramadan With Google  shows Sehr / Iftar timings, Android apps, recipes, and videos.
